「戰神」艾佛森(Allen Iverson)上個月點名，獨行俠「金童」唐西奇(Luka Doncic)是當今後衛中他最想聯手的一位，兩人搭檔將會非常致命。艾佛森近日作客「俠客」歐尼爾(Shaquille O'Neal)的節目，被問到現役球員中誰最像自己？他再次狂讚唐西奇。

歐尼爾要艾佛森在當今球員中，選出一位最像自己的，「戰神」回應，「每個人都說是莫蘭特(Ja Morant)。但讓我來談談這個傢伙，唐西奇怎麼了？73分，這不用說，我說的是他的風格，那混合了街頭籃球，他用自己的方式打球。」

艾佛森說，「我不希望大家誤解，但他打球像個黑人。他有自己的風格，他在場上很酷，緩慢但動作很大，出手非常準確。」

艾佛森上個月受訪時也曾提到，唐西奇是他最想搭檔的現役後衛，「因為他是一名大個子控衛，我還是可以打2號位。他可以防守得分後衛，我可以防守控球後衛，我認為這將會很致命。」

美國媒體《Fadeaway World》指出，艾佛森是透過速度和運動能力宰制賽場，唐西奇則是憑藉特殊的節奏，同時他還是一名優秀的傳球手，兩人風格不同。

艾佛森曾在2001年獲選年度MVP，展開第6個NBA賽季的唐西奇自生涯第2季以來，每季都在MVP評選中佔據前6名，無奈他所屬的獨行俠並沒有足夠出色的戰績能替他「背書」，他至今還在尋求首座年度MVP。
